SIMULATION LAB

The engineer has to design and analyze the various components before manufacturing them. Raghu Mech has MOU with the Dassault system and has a center of excellence for CATIA software. Mech has 60 CATIA license systems, 15 ANSYS software licensed systems, and 5 CFD software licensed systems. Students work on this design software in their free time.

THERMAL ENGINEERING LAB

Thermal Engineering Lab is one of the most important contributions of Mechanical Engineering to present-day civilization. The lab has state of the art facilities for providing a hands-on experience to the students. Knowledge of SI Engines, CI Engines, and various performance characteristics are evaluated here.

THEORY OF MACHINES LAB

The lab has various models demonstrating the important Kinematics of Machines concepts. Besides these, it studies the equipment necessary for providing a practical understanding of the important concepts of balancing machine parts, vibrations in machine parts, flywheels, and gear drives.

STRENGTH OF MATERIALS LAB

This lab studies the testing of materials for their strength under the action of external loads. Knowledge of the strength of Metals and nonmetals is essential before its use in any structure and design.

FLUID MECHANICS AND MACHINERY FLUID LAB

FM lab has the equipment needed to impart practical knowledge to the students in the important area of Mechanical Engineering. Hydraulic Impulse and Reaction type Turbines, Centrifugal and reciprocating pumps, and Flow measuring equipment are some examples of the equipment in this lab.

INSTRUMENTATION AND CONTROL SYSTEMS LAB

I & CS lab has been equipped with an LVDT transducer, Strain gauge, Thermo couple, Capacitive transducer, Photo, Magnetic Pick up, resistance temperature detector, Rotometer, Seismic Pickup, and McLeod gauge.

CENTRAL WORKSHOP

When it comes to machining where you need very close tolerances, our conventional machines like lathe, drilling, etc., will not serve our purpose. We teach students with advanced technology, and in that process, we have been given access to CNC milling, CNC turning, LASER cutting, and 3D printing machines, which are available with us.

ADVANCED MANUFACTURING LAB

PRODUCTION TECHNOLOGY LAB

Students could able to learn the basic manufacturing procedures in this lab. We ensure they get hands-on experience with different bending, forming, and casting techniques. Students learn other welding techniques like Arc, Gas, TIG, and MIG, which are available in REC Meche.

METALLURGY & MATERIAL SCIENCE LAB

Muffle Furnace, Inverted Metallographic, Microscope, Abrasive Cutoff Machine, and PC/ Set up, ultrasonic machine for microstructure determination are some typical equipment available in the lab to cater to the knowledge of material properties.
